Understanding Sensory Differences

About the event

This free online event will provide SEND parents and carers with an in-depth understanding of sensory differences, focusing on the eight senses and how they may be experienced by neurodivergent individuals. We will explore the difference between hyper- and hypo-sensitivity and how these sensory differences can manifest in behaviours.

During the session, Melissa Leggett, an expert in neurodiversity and Autism Resource Base Specialist Teacher, will guide attendees through practical strategies to support children and young people in their daily environments. Whether your child struggles with sensory overload or seeks out sensory input, this event will offer valuable insights and tools to enhance your understanding and support their needs.

*change in end time due to restriction of Google Meet having an hour limit before it ends the call. If you find it helpful, I can schedule another call.
